CHARLES CITY – A Charles City woman was arrested for the third time this year for domestic assault.
On May 24 at about 4:17 PM, Charles City police were called to the 2200 block of Clarkview Drive to investigate a disturbance. Upon arrival, police discovered an assault had taken place and arrested 47-year-old Jacqueline Floyd on a charge of assault causing injury.
Floyd was taken to the county jail, processed and later released, pending a court date later this month.
Floyd was arrested this past January and February for domestic abuse, with both arrests taking place at the same location as the latest incident. In the January arrest case, the charge was dismissed. In the February arrest case, Floyd pled guilty and was sent to jail for 2 days.
