Woman walks away from Des Moines bank after robbing it

DES MOINES – A woman walked into a Des Moines bank today, displayed no weapon and robbed it, then walked out. Now, police are searching for her.

Des Moines Police Officers responded to a bank robbery at the US Bank at 115 E. Euclid at 4:12 PM this afternoon.

A white female adult suspect described as approximately 5’ 8” and 180 lbs entered the bank wearing a white coat with fur-trimmed hood, a black stocking hat with the word “LOVE” and red rimmed eye glasses. She was carrying a lap-top style shoulder bag. The suspect handed a note to the teller demanding cash then left northbound on foot after receiving the money. No weapon was shown.
