Mason City woman arrested for possession of two illegal drugs

PLYMOUTH – Mason City woman was taken to jail late Friday after an officer discovered she possessed two illegal drugs.

Jennie Marie Melby, age 32, was stopped by a Cerro Gordo deputy for a traffic violation Friday evening at about 9:30 PM near Plymouth, Iowa. During the course of the traffic stop and investigation, Melby was discovered to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested on charges of third offense possession of meth, third offense possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, and driving without auto registration.

Melby was taken to jail and held on $5,000 cash or surety bond.
