MASON CITY – A Mason City man’s bond has been revoked in a serious assault case and he was brought to jail.
Clear Lake police located Lucas Jay Lowman, who claims to be from Mason City, on Monday afternoon. Lawman was wanted on a warrant after his bond was forfeited in connection with a serious assault causing bodily injury case, a charge brought by Clear Lake police back in May. Lawman was supposed to appear in court on November 21 but apparently failed to show up, prompting the bond forfeiture and the arrest warrant. He is supposed to stand jury trial on December 2.
Lawman could face a fine of at least three hundred fifteen dollars but not to exceed one thousand eight hundred seventy-five dollars. In addition, the court may also order imprisonment not to exceed one year.
