MASON CITY – The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s business office will be closed Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. for employees to attend a funeral, Sheriff Pals said Monday.

I did for over 30 years…But I didn’t go to many. Funerals aren’t on my top ten list of things to attend, even if it would get me out of work.
Paid funeral leave eh? How many of us get that?
Negotiate that in your next contract. A lot of folks in the private sector have it.
The company I work for has paid funeral leave. I think several company’s do.
