Call the County Auditors Office and ask your questions. That’s the office in charge of elections in Cerro Gordo County, not the Globe Gazette.

I really doubt anyone is trying to keep anyone from voting….that’s just a good way to feed the rumor mill.

In fact, the GG published this information in print and on line yesterday. However I would totally agree that this whole process is very confusing and highly suspect since my regular poling place is not open during this vote. Im just wondering why???

They usually only have a few polling places for school elections. I see you can go to any of the Polling places in MC and don’t have to go to your specific precinct. I would imagine it saves money to only have a few places and the turnout is typically very low.

And they release this on the day we vote? I wonder how many people do not know about this or where they have to go vote. I know for a fact that my neighbors who are all seniors didn’t know a thing about it. Nothing on the radio, T.V. and hidden in the want ads of the Glob. Do you suppose they don’t want seniors to know?

People are responsible for their own actions. If they cared enough to find out, they would have. All it would have taken is a call to the court house.

@just saying-sure that works if you know about it. These people had no idea there was even a vote going on. A lot of them don’t get the Glob because very simply they can’t afford it. They depend on the radio and T.V. for their news. When you publish it on the same day as the vote they have no way of knowing.

Thats BS.

Geez, really??? The ballot and polling places were in the Globe Gazette last week too. I don’t think there is a conspiracy under this rock…

The only reason it is in the Globe is that the City and County have to declare a an official newspaper and that is our only print media source.

The radio stations have been talking about it.

Most people have a telephone and can call the courthouse with any questions they may have. Anyone could go the the courthouse to vote anytime or get an absentee ballot. There is no valid excuse for not knowing the information. It’s all public info and out there for anyone to have access. And, NIT could have found out the information earlier and printed it as well.
