AUSTIN, Texas, March 24 (UPI) — Mike Rosario drained six 3-pointers en route to 25 points Sunday and Florida rolled into the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 with a 78-64 win over Minnesota.
Erik Murphy scored 15 points as the third-seeded Gators (28-7) gained their third consecutive Sweet 16 appearance.
Scottie Wilbekin had 12 points and six assists for Florida, which will play the winner of Sunday’s game between Florida Gulf Coast and San Diego State at the South Regional semifinals.
Andre Hollins paced the 11th-seeded Golden Gophers (21-13) with 25 points, including and six 3-pointers. Trevor Mbakwe provided 11 points and six rebounds for Minnesota.
