MASON CITY – Yet another winter storm warning is in effect for the North Iowa area at this time and into Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Des Moines, a slow moving winter storm will affect North Iowa tonight. Expect moderate to heavy snowfall and strong winds. Sleet and freezing rain are also possible as rain changes to snow. Five to ten inches of snow are possible.

Cerro Gordo county authorities are also taking reports of flooded roadways. County road crews have been notified.

The Iowa DOT is reporting that Iowa roadways are already being impacted by the storm that is bringing with it very strong winds and heavy snow.
NIT readers have reported seeing multiple vehicles in ditches on Interstate 35.
