Mason City to hold ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark progress on highly-anticipated recreational trail

MASON CITY - The southern portion of the High Line Trail in Mason City is making great progress, according to City Hall, and a ceremony to mark the achievement is planned for next week.

MASON CITY – The southern portion of the High Line Trail in Mason City is making great progress, according to City Hall, and a ceremony to mark the achievement is planned for next week.

City Hall in Mason City reports that “Finishing touches are being added to the newly surfaced trail from 19th Street SE to 1st Street SE and we look forward to the completed trail!

“To celebrate this progress – we are hosting a public ribbon cutting for the High Line Trail on Wednesday, October 25 at 10 am just south of where 1st Street SE intersects the High Line Trail.”

This event is open to everyone.

This date is dependent on weather conditions, so if there’s inclement weather, stay tuned for further updates.
