KABUL, Afghanistan, Feb. 28 (UPI) — No injuries were reported when a coalition military base in southern Afghanistan was attacked by rocket fire Thursday, a military official said.

A British Defense Ministry spokesman told The Guardian that Camp Bastion, which houses U.S., Danish and Estonian troops, sustained some damage in the attack.

“We can confirm that a rocket attack against Camp Bastion took place,” the spokesman said. “No significant damage or casualties have been reported as a result of this incident.”

Multiple explosions could be heard inside the base in Helmand province, Khaama Press said. The all-clear signal was given about 40 minutes after the attack.
