MASON CITY – Newspaperman and native Algonan Denny Waller has written his first book, “Walkin’ Joe and the Midnight Marauders,” now available on Amazon. While it is memoir of a year or so in Denny’s childhood, it is much more than that–funny in places, harrowing in others, thought-provoking in all; well-written, with interesting area historical references throughout.
