MASON CITY – The Mason City school board will vote on Friday morning on approval of a new district superintendent.
A special session of the school board is scheduled for 7 AM Friday morning, February 25, 2022.

Earlier this month, the school board named three finalist for the high-paying position (probably pushing $300,000 per year with all the special perks and favors administrators in public schools score for themselves.) The finalist for this big payday are Bryan Boysen, Pat Hamilton, and Bridgette Wagoner. Anita Micich could definitely explain how easy it is to get paid a windfall in Mason City.
