OBIT: Patrick J. Azeltine

Patrick J. Azeltine, 77, of Garner passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church in Miller.

Patrick J. Azeltine, 77, of Garner passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church in Miller with Pastor Doug Snyder officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Faith Lutheran Church.

Patrick was born on March 16, 1948, at the Belmond Hospital the son of Donald and Dorothy (Sullivan) Azeltine. He grew up on a farm near Rowan, Iowa with his younger sister, Pamela. Patrick graduated from Belmond-Rowan High School in 1966. During college, he met his wife, Julie (Baker) Azeltine and they were married in August of 1969. Patrick and Julie raised their children, daughter Kelly, and son, Chadd in Miller, Iowa. Pat was a hardworking man as a construction worker, manager of KFC, and retired from Eatons after 25 years. After retiring Pat and Julie moved to a lake home in Clear Lake. Patrick was a humorous man who loved the Hawkeyes, watching westerns, woodworking, and playing cards with family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren always ready for his hug when they walked in the door.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Julie; two children; Kelly (Jason) Lackore and Chadd Azeltine; grandchildren, Avery Lackore, Kaiden Lackore, Nathan Azeltine, Charlene Azeltine, Julie Azeltine, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pamela.
