MASON CITY — Anthony “Tony” James Galindo, 78, of Mason City, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026. A visitation was held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2026, at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second Street SE in Mason City.

MASON CITY — Anthony “Tony” James Galindo, 78, of Mason City, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Tony was born September 29, 1947, in Mason City. According to his obituary, he was the fourth of 10 children and grew up surrounded by a large family.

Tony remained closely connected to Mason City throughout his life. He was known by relatives and friends as a memorable personality who enjoyed visiting with others and sharing stories.

He also had a longtime connection to the racing community. Friends from the sport remembered Tony following his passing as a loyal supporter who maintained friendships with drivers, organizers and fellow racing enthusiasts.

According to his obituary, Tony valued the people in his life and enjoyed opportunities to gather with family and friends. Those who knew him will remember his outgoing nature, conversations and devotion to the activities and people he cared about.

A visitation was held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2026, at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second Street SE in Mason City.

A celebration of Tony’s life followed at 3 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2026, at the funeral home.
