Robin Fay Nye, 66, of Clear Lake, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, with Al Berge officiating, at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 First Ave. North Clear Lake, Iowa 50428. Robin’s inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City, Iowa. Memorials may be directed in care of the family.
Visitation will take place Monday, February 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 First Avenue North, Clear Lake, Iowa 50428.
Robin Fay was born December 31, 1959, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Lee and Marie (Casey) Whitehurst. She was blessed with three children, Cory, Casey, and Caleb.
Robin worked for many years at Clear Lake Bakery and Casey’s General Store. She was known for her quick wit, great sense of humor, and those who knew her well would smile when describing her stubborn streak. In her younger years, she enjoyed water skiing and snowmobiling. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her mother, Marie “Mick” Whitehurst; her children, Cory (Amber) Nye, Casey (James) Dotzler, and Caleb (Amidy) Turek; grandchildren, Max, Brady, Emme, Sophie, Natalynn, and Emberly; her sister, Kris (Alvaro) Mendoza; her brother, James Whitehurst; her sister-in-law Suzanne Whitehurst; her uncle Dennis Casey; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Robin was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Lee Whitehurst; and her brother, Jay Whitehurst.
