Judith Marlene Hermanson was born on June 1, 1937, in rural Northwood, Iowa to parents, Milton and Inborg (Stromly) Peterson. Judy attended school in Lake Mills graduating in 1956. On September 22, 1956, she was united in marriage to Jerome Hermanson. To this union, four children were born: Mary, Jeffrey, Lori, and Kathy. The couple started their married life, living in Albert Lea, MN for about two years, before moving to Lake Mills – where they raised their family and lived out the remainder of their years together.

Judy worked for Graphic/Stoyles Publishing Company for 30 plus years. She enjoyed reading, knitting, flea markets, and antiquing. Together with Jerome, she enjoyed many motorcycle adventures. They made many trips to the Mississippi River, but one of their favorite trips was to Colorado, riding a Kawasaki 90 motorcycle! Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Judy was especially fond of being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Judy will be missed by her children, Mary (Dennis) Regier, Jeffrey (Marlene) Hermanson, Lori (Robert) McLaughlin, and Kathy (Lynn) Rosen; grandchildren, Dan (Mackinze) Bromley, Curran (Skye) McLaughlin, Mike (Kellie) Rosen, Derek (Emily) Rosen, Chelsey (Nathan) Ostrander, Zach Peterson, Tyrell Hermanson, Tel Hermanson, Justin (Molly) Regier, Alyssa Benson, Stacy Russeff (Joey Williams), and Kenda (Aaron) Fink; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Theodora, Josephine, Owen, Olivia, Ethan, Grace, Hayden, Callen, Madeline, Geneva, Jersey, Beckett, Asa, Croy, Lauren, Levi and Kaelyn. As well as a sister Ila Peterson and many loving extended relatives and friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome; both parents, Milton and Inborg (Stromley) Peterson; sister Karen Moe and brother Maynard Peterson. Sisters-in-law, Shirley VanKamen and Donna Watkins; and brothers-in-law, Ronald and John Hermanson.
