DUBUQUE COUNTY – Two people died and another was hurt when a Subaru Ascent collided wit a Peterbilt semi at an Iowa intersection.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident took place on November 28, 2024. At about 1:01 PM that day, at an intersection of Skyline Road and US Highway 151 in Dubuque county, a 2023 Subaru operated by 64-year-old Raymond Seeley of Sterling, Illinois, was westbound and failed to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way at the intersection. A 2021 Peterbilt semi truck operated by 48-year-old William James of Amarillo, Texas, was driving northbound on 151 and struck the Subaru. The Subaru ended up in the east ditch.

As a result of the accident, Seeley and a passenger, 62-year-old Deana Seeley, were both killed. James was also injured.
