ROSEMONT, Ill. – With a 30-24 victory over Maryland on Saturday, the Penn State Nittany Lions have clinched a berth into the 2024 Discover Big Ten Football Championship Game for the second time in program history. Penn State finishes the 2024 regular season 11-1 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
NIT earlier reported that the University of Oregon has secured a berth in the 2024 Discover Big Ten Football Championship Game. The Ducks are undefeated this season.
The 14th annual title game will be played on Saturday, December 7, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and will feature the top two teams in the standings for the first time: No. 1 Oregon vs. No. 2 Penn State. The contest will be televised nationally on CBS, with Compass Media Networks providing national radio coverage. The winner will earn the Amos Alonzo Stagg Championship Trophy and a coveted first-round bye in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff. Kickoff for the game is set for 8 PM ET on CBS.
