Lavonne F. “Toby” Rolfs, 84, of Oelwein, Iowa, died Friday evening, November 21, 2025, at her home.
Memorial Service: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa with Rev. Randy Baldwin officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 28, 2025, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa, and for one hour before the service on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
Inurnment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, Iowa.

Lavonne Faye Bright was born October 4, 1941, in Oelwein, the daughter of Harold Mason and Phyllis Mildred (Hall) Bright. In 1959, she graduated from Oelwein High School and then earned her CNA certification. On October 3, 1960, she was united in marriage to Howard William Rolfs in Austin, Minnesota. Toby was employed as a CNA at Oelwein Healthcare Center. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. Toby enjoyed going out to eat at Dairy Queen and Pizza Ranch, sewing, walking, camping, spending time with her cats and family.
Toby is survived by her 3 sons: Harold Rolfs of Oelwein, Terry Rolfs of Preston, Minnesota and Michael Rolfs of Preston, Minnesota; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother: Donald Bright (Susan Williams) of West Union; sister-in-law: Rita Bright of Waterloo; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on January 5, 2017; daughter-in-law: Sharon Rolfs; grandson: Seth Rolfs; 3 brothers: Robert Bright at birth, Richard Bright and Dale Bright; sister: Shirley Benham; and sister-in-law: Linda Bright.
