The Clear Lake Fire Department plans to expand the 9/11 Memorial on their property in the downtown ara with a bronze firefighter statue, a project honoring courage, sacrifice, and unity in our community, the community announced recently.
The department has been accepting donations toward this goal, and the nearby community of Swaledale has pitched in, according to a recent announcement.
“A huge shoutout and thank you to the Swaledale Fire Department for their incredibly generous $1,000 donation to our bronze statue project! Swaledale has always been a stellar partner to the Clear Lake Fire Department—whether it’s mutual aid on fire calls or joint training sessions,” the Clear Lake Fire Department announced this week. “Thank you for your support and teamwork.”
The City of Clear Lake was also selected as a recipient of a $1,000 Commitment to Community grant at the Caselle, Inc. 2025 Midwest User Conference back in September. Jacob Widman, Director of Finance & Administrative Services, attended the conference and accepted the recognition on behalf of the City of Clear Lake.
“We are grateful for this support, which helps us continue building meaningful projects that strengthen connection, remembrance, and resilience in Clear Lake,” city hall mentioned.
