WRIGHT COUNTY – Area law enforcement in the North Iowa area announced that they executed search warrants in a crack down on the Sons of Silence motorcycle club.
According to Wright County Attorney Eric Simonson and the Clarion, Iowa police department, on Thursday, June 11, 2020, Iowa law enforcement agencies were involved in the execution of search warrants on several residences in North Central Iowa. The search warrants were the result of an investigation of the occupants of the residences for alleged criminal violations in connection with the Sons of Silence motorcycle club. During the execution of the search warrants, multiple items were seized from the residences.
Five individuals were arrested in connection with the items seized on charges of Criminal Gang Participation, in violation of Iowa Code section 723A.2:
Participating agencies included the Clarion Police Department, Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Belmond Police Department, Waterloo Police Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, FBI OM WRA, Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force, Waverly Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Mid Iowa Task Force, Iowa DNE, NICNTF and Algona Police Department.
