MASON CITY – Mason City At-Large City Councilman Tim Latham announced today his intention to see re-election this fall.
“After thoughtful consideration and conversations with my family, I have decided to seek re-election for Council Member at Large. I believe I can best serve the people of Mason City by continuing my current role on the City Council,” Latham said. “I am truly grateful for the encouragement and support that I have received from the community. It’s been an honor to serve, and I remain committed to working for the progress and well-being of the city. I would appreciate your vote for the Council Member at Large position in the November 4th election.”
Latham was elected to the At-Large seat of the Mason City Council back in 2023 (after earlier attempts) to finish a 2-year term of the seat left vacant by the untimely death of Tom Thoma back in August of that year. Tim Latham (pictured at top) was also a District 1 Cerro Gordo County Supervisor, first elected in 2016, after defeating Jay Urdahl. Latham was re-elected to a second term in 2020, but was forced into an election 2 years later in 2022 due to state re-districting changes and lost a primary to Chris Watts.
