MASON CITY – Mason City voters have elected Paul Adams, John Lee, Joshua Masson and Tim Latham to serve on the city council after Tuesday’s election.
Masson retains his seat in Ward 3 as he withstood a challenge from Ryan Schupick, 780-382. Tim Latham will finish a 2-year term in an At-Large seat left vacant by the untimely death of Tom Thoma back in August. Latham garnered 2,627 votes, ahead of Kevin Easley (861) and Leon Robertson (355).
Adams and Lee ran unopposed.
Paul Adams said after the election, “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve Mason City for another 4 years. Thanks to all the candidates for running in this election. Congratulations to John Lee, Joshua Masson and Tim Latham on their victories and I look forward to what we can all accomplish together along with the Mayor, our colleagues on the Council and our great City staff.”
Voters also elected Jay Lala and Troy Levenhagen to the park board.
