Dawn Marie Holt, also known as “Elf”, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 15, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church.

Dawn Marie Holt, also known as “Elf”, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 15, 2024.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N 4th St, Clear Lake, Iowa. Burial will be held privately in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday prior to the service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances memorials may be directed to the family to help with expenses during this unforeseen time.

Dawn was born on July 27, 1974, just twelve minutes after her twin sister, to Dean and Norma (Ogaard) Miller of Mason City, Iowa. She was known for her compassionate nature and dedication to helping others, which she channeled into her work in healthcare, providing care in various facilities throughout the community. Her commitment to the well-being of others was a defining aspect of her life.

In her free time, Dawn enjoyed spending time with her husband, often working on cars together. She also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, whether she was reading a good book or simply basking in the sunshine. Country music was also a favorite of hers.

Those left to cherish memories of Dawn are her husband, Ben Holt; children, Catie Alexander and Logan Kunzman; twin sister, Deana (Chad) Hanson; brothers, Danny (Jessica) Miller, and Jerry Miller; sister, Diana (Kim) Young; mother in-law, Sandy Holt; siblings in-law, Donna (Mark) Holt, Ron (Theresa) Holt, Nicole Dault and Jennifer Miller; step-children, Charlie and Kelsey Holt; granddaughter, Violet Holt; her beloved dog, Taco; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Dawn is preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Norma Miller; brother, Randy Miller; as well as her grandparents.
