The Charles City police department reported that on the afternoon of March 26, 2024, they arrested 38-year-old Charles Fisher (pictured at top) of Charles City at the police department on a valid Floyd county arrest warrant for second-degree sexual abuse. Records show the date the the alleged sex crime took place was on January 28, 2024, filed by the police department.
Fisher remains in the jail on $25,000 cash-only bond. A judge has imposed a retraining order on Fisher, as well, and he has been designated a public defender. A preliminary hearing on the matter is scheduled for the morning of April 5.
