DES MOINES – NASCAR fans in Iowa will have a chance to watch races right here in the Hawkeye state next summer.
This week, Governor Reynolds held a press conference at to announce a “new major sports and entertainment event” to be held in Iowa in 2024. The press conference was held on Finkbine Drive located on the capitol complex in Des Moines.
Reynolds and other dignitaries announced that NASCAR races will be held at the Iowa Speedway in Newton in June of 2024.
“We stand for American principles like faith, family, and opportunity for all,” Reynolds claimed. “And these things that Iowans love most – are what NASCAR does best! Proud to welcome NASCAR back to Iowa!”
The event is scheduled for June 14-16, 2024 at the Iowa Speedway, 3333 Rusty Wallace Dr, Newton, Iowa.
