BURLINGTON, IOWA – A man allegedly went on a tire slashing spree in this Iowa community, but with the help of citizen tips, a suspect is behind bars.
On April 29, 2023 officers from the Burlington Police Department Patrol Division responded to multiple reports of tires that had been slashed in the overnight hours. With the assistance of the public, officers conducted witness interviews and were able to view video of the incidents and based on these statements and video were able to develop a suspect.
On April 30, 2023 officers located Jessie Lee Doss, 37, of Burlington and charged him with Criminal Mischief 2nd, a D felony, for the multiple tires damaged. Mr. Doss was transported to the Des Moines County jail and held on a $5000.00 bond.
