Deceased Iowa motorcyclist found in ditch after striking a deer in Hardin county

RADCLIFFE, IOWA – A deceased Iowa motorcyclist was found in a ditch after striking a deer in Hardin county, law enforcement says.

Wednesday morning at approximately 8:40 AM, a Hardin County Deputy located a motorcycle lying in the south ditch of State Hwy 175, apporiximately a 1/2 mile east of Radcliffe, Iowa. Upon further investigation, the body of a deceased male was found near the motorcycle. The investigation revealed that the motorcycle was eastbound on State Hwy 175, when it struck a deer, causing the driver to lose control, ultimately coming to a rest in the south ditch.

The driver of the accident this morning has been identified as 64-year-old Russell Pyle of Baxter, Iowa.  Pyle was operating a 1998 Kawasaki 1500.
