DAVENPORT – An Iowa man is behind bars after allegedly murdering his own mother.
On Thursday, May 21, 2020 at approximately 4:46 AM, Davenport Police responded to 620 West 63rd Street in reference to a 9-1-1 call. Upon arrival, officers with the Davenport police department located an unresponsive female in apartment #2. The Davenport Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced her as dead.
The victim was identified as Victoria Watson, age 59. She resided at that address.
As a result of the investigation, Mckinsley Watson, age 36, has been charged with Murder 1st Degree. Mckinsley is the son of the victim and they resided together. He is currently in custody at the Scott County Jail.
