The arrest took place on the early morning of February 22, 2018. A report of suspicious activity on Hwy 69 N in Forest City was called in to police at that time. As a result, Forest City police located a suspect, 34-year-old Scott David Peterson of Mason City. After an investigation, Peterson was arrested on a charge of first-offense operating while intoxicated.
Peterson was taken to the Winnebago County Jail and soon released. No court date has been set in the matter.
