WEST UNION, IOWA – Police knocked on a wanted Iowa woman’s door and she made a dash for freedom only to be caught and charged with drug possession, child endangerment and other crimes.
On April 26, 2017 at 4:33 PM, a Fayette County Deputy attempted to serve two arrest warrants on Lisa Diana Schroeder, age 37 at her residence on East Plum Street in West Union. Upon making contact with her, Schroeder fled out the back door of the residence. A neighbor in the area noticed Schroeder running and called 911 to report that Schroder had gotten into an occupied vehicle and the vehicle was heading north on Pine Street. The vehicle was stopped on North Pine Street and Schroeder was taken into custody. While the deputy chased after Schroeder through the residence, he detected a smell of marijuana and observed drug paraphernalia on the table. A search of the Schroeder residence was then conducted upon her arrest and evidence was gathered.
Schroeder was transported to the Fayette County Jail where she was booked in on two Fayette County Warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia, child endangerment and possession of controlled substance (marijuana). She was additionally charged with interference with official acts and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is currently held in the Fayette County Jail on $5000 cash bond. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the West Union Police Dept.
Unbelievable. In her house, not bothering anyone. And then there’s the dirt bag in the article with a third DUI. He’s a menace and can hurt or kill others. Our laws in this state are ridiculous!
She did not buy if from a government agency and pay tax on the weed so she is guilty of a $5000 dollar crime? — get real – when big brother legalizes this substance and collects their dues it will just fine to use it. Any part of serfdom here were missing. She should step up to cocaine like most of our elected people in DC have for decades.
