MASON CITY – A Rockwell man is guilty for a third time for drunk driving.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy stopped a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Joseph Howard Schoenfeldt of Rockwell just before 1 AM Friday morning at Partridge Avenue and 210th Street. After an investigation, Schoenfeldt was arrested on a charge of second-offense operating while intoxicated and open container of alcohol. He was taken to jail, booked and later released pending a court date.
Schoenfeldt later pled guilty to second-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 7 days in jail. His driver’s license was revoked and he must pay $2,809.27 in fines and court fees.
Schoenfeldt was guilty of drunk driving back in 2008 after an arrest by the Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office and also in 2003 after an arrest by Mason City police.
