IOWA CITY – Be careful in your rush to find tickets to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Rose Bowl, police warn, as there are fakers out there preying on unsuspecting buyers.
University of Iowa Police said today they have received reports from multiple law enforcement agencies regarding fraudulent tickets for the Rose Bowl being sold on Craigslist in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area.
Police say the tickets were sold in a group of four for seat numbers 11-14, row 18 and tunnel 19 in the Roe Bowl stadium in Pasadena, California. They advised that if you have recently brought these tickets – or any other tickets you believe to be fraudulent, to contact your local police department to file a report.
The 102nd Rose Bowl Game will be held on January 1, 2016 at the Rose Bowl Stadium. Iowa will play Pac12 Champion Stanford.
