FOREST CITY – Winnebago Industries, Inc. has received a hazard control recognition award from the Iowa-Illinois Safety Council.

The award was announced at the safety council’s professional development conference and expo held in Dubuque, Iowa, April 22-24.

Winnebago Industries was one of 101 entries from industries and government agencies in Illinois and Iowa. The company submitted hazard control projects and programs designed to improve the safety culture of the organization. Specific strategies implemented included adding slip resistant paint to selected areas, fire safety precautions and the installation of adjustable work stations for improved ergonomics.

“Employees at Winnebago are the company’s greatest asset,” said Vice President of Manufacturing and Safety Committee Chairman Daryl Krieger. “This award is a compliment to everyone’s commitment to improving safety.”
