Sheriff investigating single vehicle accident that left man injured

investigateRURAL MASON CITY – An accident that wasn’t reported until hours later that left a man hospitalized is now being investigated by the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office.

A single vehicle collision was reported at Zinnia Avenue and 265th Street at about 11:23 AM Saturday. Joshua Seller, age 24, was traveling north on Zinnia when he failed to stop at the t-intersection at 265th Street. The vehicle left the road and entered a field where it continued north, striking several trees and causing severe damage to the vehicle.

Seller and his passenger, 24-year-old Jordan Linsday, left the scene and were later located. Seller was uninjured and Linday was at Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The accident happened approximately 10 hours prior to the report.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says the accident is under investigation at this time.
