SHEFFIELD, IA – A four-vehicle accident Wednesday sent a Madison, Wisconsin woman to Mercy Hospital in critical condition.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, at about 2:50 PM Wednesday, August 27, four vehicles approached a southbound farm tractor on Highway 65 at 240th Street when 36-year-old Matthew Schlachter of Iowa Falls failed to maintain control of his 2009 Chevy Colorado truck and caused all four vehicles to collide.
Anne Grady of Madison, Wisconsin was taken by Mercy Air Life to Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City in critical condition.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Iowa State Patrol.
