MASON CITY – This Northern Iowa man once stole a badge from Charles City police, and now his life of crime has potentially turned much darker, as Mason City police have charged him with four counts of child sexual abuse.
Isaia Michael Weber is 42 years of age with a last known address of Charles City. NIT reported back in October of 2016 that the Charles City Police Department executed a search warrant on a residence there, seeking a police badge which was taken from the department. As a result of this search warrant, Weber was found at the residence and arrested for theft and criminal mischief both due to the removal of the badge from the police station. He was later guilty of both charges and was ordered to pay Iowa courts over $1,000, but he never paid the bill in full, records show.
Weber was convicted of a felony drug offense in Floyd county in 2006. After a number of probation violations, he was sent to prison and ultimately to the Beje Clark halfway house in Mason City, where he eventually escaped before being arrested again.
Now, Weber’s connection to Mason City has potentially brought evil to the community, as he was booked into the Cerro Gordo county jail at 1:03 AM on Thursday morning, August 7, 2025. Weber was arrested in Black Hawk County, NIT is told. He is charged by Mason City police with four counts of:
– SEXUAL ABUSE – 2ND DEGREE, CLASS B FELONY, OFFENSE DATE: 06/26/2010
Weber is being held in the jail on $50,000 cash-only bond as he awaits a hearing set for the afternoon of August 15.
UPDATE: Mason City police were able to give NIT a clearer insight into the alleged crime:
“Weber was recently arrested and jailed on the 7th. He has recently been living in Cedar Falls, IA. The alleged crimes took place in Mason City, IA between 2010 and 2013. The same 12-year-old victim was assaulted in all four counts of S/A over the timeframe. Weber had access to the victim at that time. The victim is now an adult.”
He has always been a loser. Hope they get him inside
