MASON CITY – Police responded to an assault on the city’s west side Friday and arrested a man who threatened a woman.
According to police, Eugene Darin Noel, age 45, was at an apartment at 2761 4th Street SW when they were called about an assault that had allegedly taken place. Police determined that Noel had threatened to kill his female roommate and had committed a serious assault.
Noel was arrested and charged with 1st degree harassment and assault causing bodily injury. He is still being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $3,000 bond / 10%. He awaits a December 13th court date.
Noel plead guilty to a charge of 1st degree harassment in September, brought by Mason City police.
