(Mason City) – The Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health will celebrate National Public Health Week the first week in April. It is observed by focusing attention on issues that promote health, wellness and safety across the country.
This year, the Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health will host a radio contest in honor of National Public Health Week from April 1-5, 2013.
Each day, a staff member from the Health Department will interview on 98. 7 KISS Country at 8:10 AM and 103.7 The Fox at 1:20 PM. During each interview, the staff member will answer a question that will be posted the night before on our website and Facebook page. Starting Sunday, March 31, check our website, www.cghealth.com or our Facebook page, Cerro Gordo County Public Health, for the question. Then listen for the answer in the interview and email it to contest@cghealth.com. If the answer is correct, participants will be entered to win various health related prizes including a free health assessment, coupon books to the Mason City Family Aquatic Center, Roller City passes and more.
“This is a great way for residents to learn more about our services, while adding a fun twist,” said Nola Aigner, Public Information Officer at the Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health. “So get on our website or Facebook page, then listen for the answer and email it in!”
