MASON CITY – This convicted sex offender with no permanent address at this time was apparently roaming free in the community, but authorities halted his potential nefarious ways and threw him in jail for violating his probation after earlier convictions for violating the Iowa offender registry.

Allen Markus Freeman-Ingersoll is a 38-year-old convicted sex offender. He was guilty of criminal sexual conduct against a woman back in 2008. Records show Freeman-Ingersoll may have been living in Northwood, but the Iowa sex offender registry lists him in Mason City with “WHEREABOUTS UNCONFIRMED”. Sex offenders are required by law to relay their lawful address to authorities, and their locations are governed by strict law, forbidding them from living near schools and daycares, for example.

Freeman-Ingersoll (pictured at top) has been charged in Cerro Gordo county with:

  • 908.1 – VIOLATION OF PAROLE – 1985

  • 692A. 104 – Sex Offender Registration Req Violation – 2nd Off (already on probation for this)

  • 692A. 104 – Sex Offender Registration Req Violation – 2nd Off (already on probation for this)

Freeman-Ingersoll was booked into the county jail on December 15 at 2:23 AM after he was nabbed in Kossuth county. Records show a search warrant was executed in Worth county on this suspect, back in October. He is awaiting a January 6, 2026 hearing as he remains in jail. Records further show that Freeman-Ingersoll was guilty in 2024 in Cerro Gordo county for second-offense violating the sex offender registry (see charges above) and placed on probation for 5 years – that probation is about to be revoked if he is found guilty, and a 5-year prison sentence could kick in.

Freeman-Ingersoll was guilty in Hamilton county back in 2015 for violating the registry.
