AMES – The Iowa State Cyclones thumped South Dakota Saturday, 55-7, at MidAmerican Energy Field at Jack Trice Stadium in front of 61,500 fans.

The Cyclones hold a 10-0 advantage in the alltime series, including a 8-0 record in Ames. This
is the first time the two teams have met at Jack Trice Stadium and the first meeting since 1959.

ISU has allowed just 19 points all-time against the Coyotes, with today’s seven points the only points scored in Ames.

Iowa State is 39-12 all-time in home openers at Jack Trice Stadium, including a 7-3 record under Matt Campbell. Campbell is now 66-51 at Iowa State and 101-66 overall as a head coach.

ISU is 5-1 all-time playing as the No. 22 team in the country.

Iowa State has allowed just 468 points in the second half since the start of the 2021 season
(54 games). That’s just 8.7 per game.

The Cyclones are 18-6 in their last 24 games.

Since 2023, Iowa State is 20-4 when forcing a turnover and 15-1 when forcing multiple turnovers.

The Cyclones are 41-19 when scoring first under
Campbell.
J Iowa State has won nine-straight games, going back to 2023, when leading after the first
quarter.

The Cyclones are 28-2 when leading by sevenplus points after the first quarter since 2017.

Iowa State is 55-9 under Campbell when leading after three quarters, including 16-straight
victories.

Iowa State has won 16 of the last 17 games they have held an advantage in time of possession.

The Cyclones have won 17 of their last 18 games when scoring 30 points or more.

ISU has had 86-straight games with over 50,000 fans at Jack Trice Stadium, a streak that goes
back to 2011. This was the 19th sellout of 61,500 since the new configuration and the first sellout against a non-Big 12/non-Iowa opponent.

The Cyclones are 29-15 under Campbell when having an offensive play of 50 or more yards.

Iowa State’s 55 points are the fifth time hitting the mark since 1996, with four of the five coming under Campbell.

QB Rocco Becht had an incredible game for the Cyclones:

He started his 29th-straight game at quarterback, tied for the longest active streak on the team with Tyler Miller. It is the longest active streak among Big 12 quarterbacks and fourth-longest in the nation among quarterbacks.

Becht broke the school record for completion percentage in a game at 95 percent (19-of-20).
It matches Baker Mayfield for the second-best in Big 12 history.

Completed his first 14 passes, before throwing his first incompletion with 3:25 left in the second quarter.

Tallied his 19th career game with multiple passing touchdowns, including his fifth-straight.

Tossed three touchdown passes for the sixth time in his career.

Became the third quarterback in school history to reach 20 career victories (Brock Purdy – 30
and Bret Meyer – 21).

Extended his school record streak of games with a touchdown pass to 20, the longest active
streak in FBS.

Has thrown a touchdown pass in 28 different games in his career, the sixth-most among
active FBS quarterbacks.

Passed Jaylon Daniels (Kansas) for the active Big 12 lead in passing touchdowns with 53.

Passed Bret Meyer (2004-07) for second on Iowa State’s touchdowns responsible for list
with 65.

J Joined Brock Purdy (2018-21) and Bret Meyer (2004-07) as only players in school history to
pass for 7,000 yards or more in a career.

Kicker Kyle Konrardy hit a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter to improve to 17-of-18 from under 40-yards in his career. He also connected on a 63-yard field goal to end the half,
the longest kick in school history by five yards. It was also the longest kick in Jack Trice Stadium history. The 63-yard field goal was the second-longest in Big 12 history and tied for the ninth-longest in NCAA history. It was the third 63-plus yard field goal in FBS football since 2000.

OL Tyler Miller started his 29th-straight game on the offensive line, tied for the longest active streak among Big 12 offensive linemen and longest on the team with Rocco Becht. His 40 career starts are the most among active Cyclones.

OL Jim Bonifas made his 15th start as a Cyclone, one of four offensive lineman with at least 15 career starts at Iowa State.

Running back Abu Sama III ran for a 15-yard touchdown on a direct snap in the first quarter, his first of the season and ninth of his career. This was just the third of his nine
career touchdowns that wasn’t over 50 yards.

Running back Dylan Lee finished with a career-high in both carries (13) and rushing yards (81) to lead the Cyclones, and scored the second rushing touchdown of his career.

Wide receiver Brett Eskildsen caught a 66-yard pass from Becht on the first play from scrimmage. It is the secondstraight year Iowa State has had a 50-plus yard completion on the first play of the home season. He finished with a career-high 77-yards receiving.
