Mason City man seriously hurt after crashing his Harley-Davidson motorcycle

MASON CITY - A Mason City man was seriously hurt after crashing his Harley-Davidson motorcycle Wednesday night.

MASON CITY – A Mason City man was seriously hurt after crashing his Harley-Davidson motorcycle Wednesday night.

At about 8:59 PM on June 7, 2023, Cerro Gordo county deputies and Mason City Fire Department responded to a single motorcycle accident at the intersection of County Road B20 and Highway 65. An investigation found that Nathan Steven Levang, 59, of Mason City, was riding a 2006 Harley-Davidson southbound on Highway 65. Levang left the roadway into the West ditch, striking fencing along the roadway, causing him to be thrown from the motorcycle. Levang suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.

Levang was transported by Mason City Fire Department medics to Mercy One North Iowa.
