Trump mocks Hillary team for cancelling fireworks show

There were no fireworks for Hillary Clinton on election night

NEW YORK – It’s a New Year, but no change in demeanor from President-elect Donald Trump, as he mocked Hillary Clinton and her election team Monday for cancelling the fireworks show that was planned in case she won.

November 8, 2016 was one punishing night for Hillary Rodham Clinton, and winner Donald J. Trump is making sure she never forgets. Allegedly, Clinton and her surrogates had planned quite a celebration if she had won the Presidential election – complete with fireworks.

However, Mr. Trump said he knew it was all over but the crying for Hillary and her left-wingers when they pulled the plug on the fireworks display that night.

“I thought and felt I would win big, easily over the fabled 270 (306),” Mr. Trump recalled fondly Monday via his favorite conduit for data – Twitter.

“When they cancelled fireworks, they knew, and so did I,” he said, referring to the disastrous Clinton campaign.

Reportedly, the Clinton campaign got permission from he Coast Guard for a short fireworks display over the Hudson River, to be launched in the minutes after the results were to come out. However, as TMZ first reported, they cancelled the fireworks show ahead of time.

In a historic outcome, Trump romped to victory in the Electoral College even as Clinton edged Mr. Trump by only about 2 million or so votes.  Mr. Trump claims many of those votes were cast illegally, but that has not been officially confirmed.
