CHARLES CITY – A Charles City woman was caught drunk driving for a second time.
Jolene Bilharz, age 42 of Charles City, is currently facing her second drunk driving charge. She was stopped on Highway 218 northbound back on November 11 by a Bremer county deputy after a driving complaint. She was charged with open container of alcohol and second-offense operating while intoxicated.
Bilharz was last arrested for drunk driving on the afternoon on July 3, 2015, by Charles City police. They stopped her at the corner of Cedar Street and Gilbert Street and took her to jail on a charge of first-offense operating while intoxicated. She later pleaded guilty and was sent to jail for 2 days, and her license revoked and was ordered to pay $1,837.50 in fines and court fees.
