FAYETTE, IOWA – This Northern Iowa man potentially terrorized a woman with a sharp blade, and when cops raced to the scene, they shut down his drug-fueled episode.
On July 30, 2025, at approximately 1:32 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call of a male threatening to stab a female in the 400 block of Mechanic Street in Fayette, Iowa. After further investigation, 30-year-old Christopher Scott McLaury of Fayette was arrested and charged with the following crimes:
– Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense – Meth (Serious Misdemeanor)
– Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense – Marijuana (Serious Misdemeanor)
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor)
– Harassment 2nd Degree (Serious Misdemeanor).
McLaury was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he awaits an initial appearance from a Magistrate Judge.
