NORTH IOWA – A North Iowa woman who has performed adult dancing says she “couldn’t hold back any longer” and wants to set the record straight with all the folks clamoring for The Pole Barn to close.
On the condition of anonymity, a North Iowa woman with ties to the adult entertainment world asked that her statement be published tonight.
NIT, as always, obliged this request. This young lady tells NIT when asked if she has any connection to The Pole Barn that she performed adult dancing previously “for a year and a half and might do it a few times coming up just to get some extra money for vacation”.
In sending her statement in, she said “Sorry I couldn’t hold back any longer lol”.
Here is her comment, exactly as she typed it:
In response to the people against a juice bar….. you all think that a juice bar is a place that brings horrible people in ….. truth is most of the guys that go to a place like that only really want to talk they want someone to listen to them some of them have a fantasy they come in and watch and leave…. I’m not saying that you aren’t going to have a horrible guy come in bc there are a few that do and when that happens they are closely monitored….. the girls…. do you understand the work that goes into dancing and doing pole tricks? It is a very fine art and it takes a lot of practice. …. you learn really quick which muscles you don’t use and in fact most girls who start dancing get healthier due to the exercise and most girls lose 5 to 10 and even more weight just by doing it and it tones them up…. about 90% of dancers do it for the art of it….also about 90 % of the dancers have a boyfriend or a husband they don’t go and prostitute….yes there are girls that do prostitution but with laws and how strict things are in each club it is usually stopped right away…..the money…. yes there can be a lot of money in it and all you people think it is easy to go dance and make money….it’s not you have to really put a lot of work into not only with the dancing and pole tricks but also with your personality it is a very demanding job …. now if you don’t like it then don’t worry about it I don’t see anyone protesting porn sites ???? PORN is way more than dancing. ..just saying…. so before you go judging the owner, the dancers, the people going to see the show….they are just trying to make a living and put a smile on someone’s face. …remember. ..one smile can save a person’s life!!! So get over it and let the business thrive. …if they thrive your town will thrive better!
Preforming tricks on a pole is a lot like riding a unicycle. No one is going to pay to watch you do it unless you are either naked or risk getting hurt doing it or both.
So is this totally nude? Cuz the juice bars in Colorado are…at least they were back in the late 80’s when I visited one. I’m just not into the idea of viewing unattainable females in the company of other dudes. It’s kind of like drinking decaf coffee…Why Bother?

Here is the deal Pole Dancer! You dance on a pole and shake your ass for men and woman to make money. If you didn’t exercise you wouldn’t have that job! You use about .01% of your brain to perform that job and if you prostitute you use or need even less. Do you even file taxes at the end of the year? When your body goes, so goes your job dancing on a pole and the only thing you got left is laying on your back. How many of the woman dancing in these clubs and prostituting are sex slaves? Where is their choice. Is that fair for them?
