Two North Iowans injured in auto accident in Winnebago county

logo-iowa-state-patrolLAKE MILLS – Two drivers were injured after their vehicles collided Wednesday morning in Winnebago county.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, at about 8:10 AM Wednesday, April 29, a 2011 Ford F250 driven by 43-year-old Adam Hickman of Forest City was northbound on county road R72 approaching 440th Street as a 2003 Chevy S10 driven by 17-year-old Ty Durby of Leland, Iowa was eastbound on 440th Street, Durby failed to yield from the stop sign and pulled into the path of Hickman. Hickman’s F250 struck Durby’s S10 on the passenger side. Both vehicles entered the ditch and rolled.

Both Hickman and Durby were injured and transported to hospitals. Both had on seat belts. Durby was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and failure to yield right of way.
