Public nature areas begin to open to public today

blue_bill_wildlife_areaMASON CITY – Nature and outdoor enthusiasts will be able to enjoy more public areas starting today in Cerro Gordo county.

The Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board will officially open the Trolley Trail, Lime Creek Conservation Area trails to bikes and horses, and the Bluebill Wildlife Area boat ramp effective Friday, April 3, 2015.

A seasonal reminder that bicycles and horses are required to travel on designated trails only and only vehicles with an attached horse trailer are authorized to use the equestrian parking lot. Boats using Bluebill are reminded that the lake is a “No Wake” lake.
