MASON CITY – A felon who left the Beje Clark halfway house in May was finally caught this month in Des Moines.
Chase Michael Cork, age 23, was apprehended by Polk County deputies on July 8th. He had been wanted since he left the Beje Clark halfway house on May 5th. Cork is a convicted felon on burglary charges out of Polk county.
Cork is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail, awaiting bedspace back at Beje. A July 21, 2014 court date has been set to answer for his escape charge.
Cork was charged with escape of a felon in 2013 and pled guilty to voluntary absence after he ran away from Beje. He was later caught by Clear Lake police.
