MASON CITY – The North Iowa Fair opens today at the North Iowa Events Center.
A bake sale, pony rides, inflatables for kids, and lots of other activities are scheduled for Wednesday. An opening ceremony begins at 4:00 PM. Later, stock car races and Nightstorm teen party is on the agenda.
The fair announced today that admission and parking are free.
“We have exhibitors, machinery, livestock, food, games and so much more,” the fair said via social media. “Concessionaires are lining the block on Restaurant Row,” the announcement continued. “We’ve got funnel cakes, corn dogs and snow cones …
Be ready for some unusual treats like fried twinkies and hot beef sundaes.”
The event runs through Sunday, July 13th.
